This beautiful Lodge and ostrich farm is situated in Schoemanspoort and is totally surrounded by mountains. The willow trees and river give a peaceful atmosphere and is food for the soul. If you like nature, De Oude Meul is the place to be!

Die Gat Guest House, a farmstead and historic monument, is situated in the valley of Middelplaas ("the farm in the middle"), near De Rust. It has been in the hands of numerous generations of the Schoeman family since the early 1800s.

Supper is enjoyed with your host and hostess, Anton and Susan, in the "voorhuis" (dining room) or under the pergola and under the starry night skies.

Enjoy stunning scenery on easy to ride, semi-automatic, 160cc Suzuki quad bikes. Trips are focused on enjoying nature so the driving is relaxed.
